Academic and Career Courses
Our school aims to develop global leaders with the spirit of "independence and self-respect." To achieve this, we provide a comprehensive education that cultivates a challenging spirit and the power to carve out one’s life through learning, research, and extracurricular activities.
In addition, our school's career guidance policy is for students to "aim high." As a school that prepares students for advanced studies, most of our students aspire to attend four-year universities to pursue more specialized knowledge. Based on their future prospects, students explore universities and set their first-choice schools. They then strive to achieve their goals and pursue their desired career paths.
In March of Reiwa 6, eight years after the establishment of our combined middle and high school, the 60th graduating class, which included the third cohort from our middle school, graduated. By aiming high and making efforts towards self-realization, our graduates have gone on to attend various universities including: Akita University, Tokyo University, Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, Niigata University, various medical departments and Akita International University. Additionally, students have successfully gained admission to private universities across Japan, including Keio University and Waseda University.
In their first year of high school, students choose between humanities and science courses for their second and third years, and then accumulate knowledge and experience towards achieving their career aspirations. During these years, students can take their time to think about their career path through occupational, department and course guidance. Students will go about creating their life plans, writing their statements of purpose, and attending career seminars provided by lecturers from various industries. In addition, teachers, including homeroom teachers, provide meticulous guidance through one-on-one interviews with students. During long breaks, we offer supplementary classes, and after school, seminars in medicine and liberal arts. We also organize campus tours to Tokyo University and Tohoku University. Furthermore, one of the highlights of our school is the integration of career events for our middle school students which helps to enrich their career education for the future.
